March isn't always a good month to have a birthday in if you are a mother, as Mothering Sunday falls in it. Both my Grandmothers had their Birthdays in March. My paternal Granny, Helena on the 1st of March and my maternal Granny, May on the 14th. They were both born in 1884, these photos were taken in 1953 at my parents wedding when they were 69. May died in 1968 and Helena in 1977 just before her 92nd birthday.
I didn't have much time with them as I was three when May died and 11 when Helena died, but I do remember her quite well.
